We got to do a little racing this week!!! We tuned my uncles new ccsb 4x4 2014 5.3 and it really woke it up!! Wanting something to compare it to I drug out my dads new DI 5.3 same exact truck specd same and same amount of gas!! (Uncles tuned and dads stock!!) From zero to 100 tuned truck was ahead by almost 3 trucks!! Kinda what I expected from a tune only so we decided to try it up against my brothers tuned 6.2 with exhaust 3.73s and vararam tri y CAI. Needless to say I was shocked!! The tuned DI 5.3 with 3.42s jumped the 6.2 truck outta the hole by a fender!! After the 6.2 shifted into second gear it started to freight train past me but from zero to 100 it only had a 3 truck lead. Really expected it to be way worse!! This 6.2 truck ran a 9.01 at the track remember!! I cant wait to race a ecoboost truck with a 5.3!! Untuned I think it will be really close!! Anyway thought I would share this bit of comparrison info!! Oh yeah we have all races on video so gimme a day or two to get em uploaded!!

Here it the video of both of the 2014 5.3's. The video is from the stock 5.3 and the one leaving is the tuned 5.3. Both have the same gears (3.42's) and same amount of gas. Not much difference between the drivers weight.

The Direct Injection I think plays a big part in him pulling me in my 6.2 in first gear. When I drove the tuned 5.3 on our way home I could tell a big difference in response. I was really surprised at how it ran against mine! Can't wait to see what the 6.2 will do....be truck lengths ahead of everybody else as usual im guessing..
