Default Stereo/Speaker issues RCSB

I've been dealing with a speaker sounding weird for a while now in my 07 RCSB. I think it was the rear one, just kinda acting staticy, almost like its blown, but its not, and it only does it sometimes.

Fast forward, this week, I've noticed the passenger side of my speakers not all working. I've pretty much only got tweeters working on the passenger side, although after driving almost all the way home from work, the other speakers will start working.

I haven't pulled the door panels yet, plan on doing that this weekend, but I'm not sure if this sounds like a speaker problem, or if its actually the stereo head unit--maybe having a channel going out or a loose connection from the stereo. I'm not very knowledgable about electronics and stereos so any advice would be helpfull.

Also anyone know what size speakers are stock in the back of the RCSB's????

Stock rear speakers are still 4x6, if I'm not mistaken...

L33Z71: Did you ever resolve your staticy speaker sound? I'm having the same problem and am about to change out the front 6.250" front speakers. I just need to figure out how the door panels come off.

Thats funny you post this. My truck is radioless right now because chevy had to send mine off on tuesday for a replacement and they replaced both door speakers. Mine was doing the same thing your taking about. It would come and go.

Yeah I got some factory speakers from Schino here on the site and they worked perfectly.

Just follow the write up that JB posted up from GMFS, thats what I used.

Kewl. Thanks!

I sure hope I don't need to get my radio fixed as I'm out of warranty. But, the radio did cross my mind. I'm just trying the cheapest option first.

So what is the problem? Is it the head unit or the speakers? Mine is doing the same thing. I had lost the front paseinger door speaker and back driver side door speaker and then all of the sudden the front speaker came back but the back one is still out! Whats the deal!

With mine, I replaced the speaker and that was it. It didn't look blown, I'm assuming the factory connector on the speaker was messed up.
