Default Steering wheel peeling?

I noticed another thread about dashes cracking and noticed that it was pretty common so I figured I was ask about my steering wheel. I have a 2007 NNBS chevy and the steering wheel started peeling off. This is a really nice truck 6.0 max LTZ crew cab etc and the steering wheel looks like crap. Any ideas?

damn mine isnt doing that.....but then again i dont have a speed racer so there's no reason for it to peel without a lot of power to make me have to hold on to the wheel

Mine did it too. I had it replaced under warranty for free. It doesn't sound easy though, the tech told me you have to pull the air bag and wheel (which I didn't understand) to replace.

Sorry I didn't explain better - it is the plastic covering inside of the actual wheel. Like stated it is plastic with a very thin rubberish coating that is starting to peel at the edges.

They also come in silver and brushed alum. The brushed alum pieces have a real metal wrap on them and tend to last longer if you wanted to upgrade. They do cost more though.

That wheel will go perfect with your LTZ interior.

swap to a billet specialty, or grant wheel.
