I'm having issues finding something to press the carrier side bearings on. Cause don't I gotta press by the inner race and not touch the outer cage? And the case sticks out past the bearing just a touch??

I found a piece of exhaust pipe that sat nicely on the inner race and wouldn't jam on the carrier

An old bearing works very well too, but you obviously don't have one kicking around. As long as that pipe doesn't crush it will work just fine.

I checked the scrap pile and no old races fit. Just a bunch of wheel bearing garbage. The exhaust pipe worked great. So the carrier is ready to go now so that'll save me some time on Tuesday

Took a moment to make myself a pinion bearing installer. I have a puller already so that's not an issue

Pinion pre load I set to 30in/lbs. Got the backlash to 0.003" in the lowest spot and 0.004" in the highest. My ring gear run out is 0.0015"
I'm about to road test it
