Default Pacesetter LT on a 6.2

Would some pacesetter LT with 3 inch y pipe work??? Isn't the 6.2 come with 3.5 inch piping...???

I am pretty sure you would be good to go with the 3", ken runs them on his truck and he always has good things to say about them. They don't seem to be slowing him down!

No issues here....i run 3" Y pipe with 3" exhaust through a 36" muffler. I still run 106.5mph in the 1/4. If i unbolt the exhaust the mph really doesnt change so i know it isnt restricted through the muffler. Exhaust pipe size, headers maybe but its not enough restriction for me to spend 1k to rework my exhaust

Yea, I wouldn't look into the pipe size thing too much. I think GM just only has 2.75" exhaust pipe and 3.5" exhaust pipe.

The GMT900 V-max with the 6.0 had 2.75" while the denali and similar with 6.2 had 3.5"

Just run a torque designed cam an those LTs, itll never let you down unless you are chasing a 450+ rwhp car then you'll need a power adder

218-224 intake
230-236 exhaust
You'll be fine and wont really require a 3400+ converter and 4:56+ gear

one more question the headers will be put on a 10 gmc 6.2 (stock)
would it be better to change the exhaust to a 3 inch?? or just keep it stock plus a tune correct

you might as well not even buy the Y pipe and just have a custom one made bc the 6spd trans pan sits 3.5" deeper than the 60e pan *which is what the pacesetters are designed for* then take the stock Y pipe and cut off the 3" to 3.5" connection so your stock exhaust will match up
