My Lysholm and the Whipple are essentially the same. No issues with the driveshaft so far.

I wasn't calling you out, just their info. However in the post I made after the guy about the other supercharger, I expressed my apologies because I know nothing other than N/A. Forced Induction > ME...

Oh well live and learn. That is the reason we have these forums.

No sweat, GI! I took no offense, and posted that to ID the source of my info because you raised a point that I thought many others would echo.

That's EXACTLY the reason we have the forums, and they work.

Hooah!

What is your actual set up? What kind of power are you putting down? Hearing all these driveshaft issues has me looking into getting a stronger one made. How hard are you beating on yours?

I have a 08 sierra denali with the 6.2l. I am hoping to put down 425+ to the wheels.

Its a 2010 reg cab short box silverado w/t. 5.3 6l80e 3.42 g80. Lysholm 2.3l twin screw with 3.65" pulley. I beat the **** out of it. This isnt my daily commuter, I special ordered it new for the sole purpose of drag racing it.

My driveshaft is also steel and not aluminum.

Sounds like it is inevitable. I am going to need to get a new driveshaft to handle the power of the supercharged 6.2l. I was hoping to get some time out of the stock one before I replaced it but it seems like I may need to do it pretty quickly to avoid damaging anything else.

I was worried about getting a tune with mine, however we jumped under there to find out I was a lucky SOB. DeMarcus Ware had left me with a custom aluminum DS! Not that I have a need for it, but I have been above 100...

You are a lucky SOB. Built trans and a custom driveshaft, and a fresh engine to start playing with

Unfortunately, I won't be digging into it very soon at all. I quickly found out at the track, it will take a lot of dollars for this to match a purpose built vehicle with half that money into it. I will cruise it as it is probably, then when it is paid off, I can play...
