Seems like your supercharged truck runs 0-60 and 0-90mph about what stock trucks run.Just stop watch a few from you tube.

Totally anti-climactic post ahead! First off, sorry for performing a disappearing act this summer. It seemed like every time I made plans to go to the track, the weather or some other issue prevented it.

Well I FINALLY made it out for test n tune last night! I'm very pleased with the results and they are about what I expected. Though I don't have any idea what boost I'm running, I suspect that its pretty close to 6 psi that others are reporting.

I was only able to get 2 runs in. For context, my truck is bone stock other than the Whipple kit. I have no other modifications. Also for reference, its a 2010 Sierra Denali crew cab AWD so you cant get much heavier for GMT 900 non HD. The first run was the best but it was the first time I have run it down the track and the first time in about 5 years that I have been to a dragstrip. The lauch was basically off idle and completely unplanned and I just let the tranny shift for me. On the second run, I tried launching at 3500 but I felt the belt slip right away so I lost some time. I feel confident that mid 13's are possible as it is configured. I need to practice manual shifting (the tranny shifts well before redline and it shifts into 5th about 100 feet before the traps) and better launches and it's definitely doable.

I would have loved to get about 100 mph but I think I might be able to get it eventually. All in all, I'm pretty pleased.

Boober, that 13.8 is nothing to sneeze at, especially for a shake-down first run with the SC. Let's see ... at the old rule-of-thumb of about a truck length per tenth, you're beating me by a good 14 truck lengths in a quarter - that's a spankin.

Does Whipple offer any followup on your tune? It sounds like you would benefit from some trans tuning at least.

Man lots of great info and advice in this thread but now I am really lost as to what method I want to choose when it comes time to go FI on my truck.

I think you have lots of room for improvements with your truck cause 13.8 seems very high considering you just added a supercharger.....

Have you had a chance to weigh the truck?? Would be curious how much more the AWD weighs compared to my 4x4.

I was curious too, so I Googled the track. It's in Salem, Ohio, at an elevation of 1,210 feet.

The times correct to 13.773 @ 98.685 for the 8:15 run 13.909 @98.986 mph for the 9:43 run approximately. I use this to calculate, inlcuding for me.

Track is at 955 feet. I used the supercharged times and they don't change much of course.

Interesting. I think there is a lot left on the table there, since there are tuned 2wds running right around there (13.9s) I'm curious how this is going to play out with more track time.

1994 Vmax: thanks for that link!

My best run at Woodburn corrects to a 14.88 @ 92.8 mph. That strip is at really low elevation so it must be changing because of the high temp and low humidity. This is really going to help me evaluate the difference from my upcoming tune and anything else I might do.

I think I better update my sig!
