Stock exhaust is not bad on the 6.2 trucks. Wouldn't worry about changing it out unless you are just looking for a different sound.
I think getting a tune in person and on a dyno is very important if you are going to go the tuning route. If someone is going to make adjustments on the transmission make sure they know what they are doing first as the 6L80's staying alive is very dependent on the tune and they are very expensive to replace.

Quite a few guys on here have been pretty happy with a BlackBear Performance tune done with an Autocal - including me. He had a tune session scheduled in my part of the country but didn't get enough guys to sign up and had to cancel, so I went with the Autocal and never looked back. Engine and trans tunes included. Check him out, link over on the right with the other sponsors.

Any muffler will work great for replacing the factory muffler, just make sure it's the same size and not smaller. I have a generic glass pack style on mine that the local muffler shop installed for me. I also removed the factory resonator behind the muffler and dumped it over the axle. Here is a sound clip when it was still NA and had this done.

Fly by at track. Had tune, muffler and drop in K&N air filter.

A tune, muffler and drop in K&N should net you low 14's maybe high 13's.

the stock exhaust on the 6.2ls are great. No need to change it unless going to a full 4" single or 3" duals. The air filter and tube will only make it louder under the hood. Your not going to get a noticeable gain out of it. The tune makes a big difference on the 6.2l and use 91octain or better always. your truck requires it. Black Bear is well worth the money. Justin will be in Houston July 1st. Buy a Auto Tune from him if planing more mods after the tune. . Theres a discount with the In person tune. Long tube Headers make a big difference too.

I wouldn't go as far as sayin the stock exhaust is great, it does have some pretty nasty kinks and bends in it, but it's not bad. I'm having mine replaced with mendral bent 3.5 coming off a ory.
A tune is by far the best bang for the buck, I picked up 5 mph in the 1/4 just by a tune
