Default need to put 24x engine in truck with 58x computer

Have purchased 05 LS2 for my 07nbs with 4.8. Now I have discovered it has 24x crank in it, black crank position sensor. I thought since genIV it would be 58x. Need 58x for my truck E38 computer. Change crank or can I get a box to convert like linkenfelter but the other way. I have had engine for a few months just waiting to put in and today discovered this.Need help with this one.

Been reading and I guess my ls2 also has 1x timing gear so will need to change to 4x with three bolt cam?
12586481 Cam gear 4x and 3 bolt?
12586768 58x reluctor ring?

So changing the reluctor is my only option?

Default Need help finding how to change reluctor ring

Need help finding how to change reluctor ring. I think I have seen this info in this forum but can't find specifics on how its done. How do you index it to the crank. Will get 58x and then remove 24x but then what? Anybody know where this has been covered?

Yes you can run a 58x genIV in a genIII vehicle with that box but they don't make one for the other way. I need to change reluctor as far as I know.
