No sir, cut them near the axle bearings and the factory perches. 3" each side so a total of 6"
The tubes were welded to the chunk before it was cut, then straightened and welded back up. Each tube peice that was cut off, has been beveled then welded.

If you cut on the outside of the oem perches you do not have to strip the axle tubes of brackets. I did because of my shock relocation.

Glad to see you welded up the tubes to the center section.

Did you guys use a line up bar to locate the ends after narrowing?

I cant say due to not being there, but i would assume he used something along the lines of that with bolt on flanges.

Im going to do some measuring and stuff before i assemble both sides to see if i could have cut the tone ring down to get away from having them inside the tubes or not.

Have you put any thought in going with big ford tube ends to do away with the C clips. Pretty sure I'm going that route. I'd love to see some more pics of the rear end when you get time. Going to be cool man

What exactly are you wanting to see

If i break this, im going 14 bolt swap, 4 link with coils overs and i'll sell the Intros.

My next plan of action isn't truck related, but time for a bigger house and more land. I want a 40x40 or bigger shop with a drive on lift and a 2 or 4 post lift.

Just a bunch of random pics of the cuts and overall rear end. From what it sounds like, you didn't move the leaf perches at all? Just the shock mounts?
