my rebuild

Yeah they didnt get moved at all. Yet i use weld on leaf perches vs a flip kit.

I can get you pics after i get it cleaned up (its dirty, needs to be painted)
I did measure outside of the backing plate flange 57 3/8". I took 6" off so the oem measurements were 63 3/8". That is not seal face to seal face, if that is needed i can measure that tomorrow when i get home.
I have my shock mount bolt holes drilled out for the oem shock bolts. I am shooting for a 5* "lay back" on the shocks. I will know more once i get the rear end back under the truck this week.

The rotors that allow you to fit a 15" wheel look so small behind a 22" wheel

I still have a long list ahead of me

Put truck on the ground
Set pinion angle
Weld leaf perches
Set up relocated shocks then weld the tabs on
Install calipers
Get brake line adapters, or new line ends and reflare my steel lines
Bleed brakes
Go cruise finally

Brakes are done. Finally let the truck run the last few days. I've missed the sound of the cam

I've got to paint everything, clean the wheel wells and get everything shiney again.
I'm going to clean the truck up, and try to get the wheels cleaned monday so i can put some miles on it. Plan to drive it almost every day this week coming so i can make sure everything is good.

No
it does idle good though
They do look very small
it's ok though. Better than the sissy drums
Thank you. Hope to get it cleaned up monday.

It finally has moved under it's own power. I went set the new brakes, an the truck doesn't seem any slower with the 3:42s. No vibrations either so the pinion angle must be close

I do need shorter shocks, but not too bad. I will pull the wheels off and get everything painted again. I seriously cleaned the truck while it was still on jack stands and the wheels were no where near it. I am going to polish, wax the wheels when i replace the tires.
