Default my rebuild

I dont post too much anymore but i do get on here when i can.

Well it all started with lower oil pressure than normal. So i swapped in a LS6 p&p oil pump and a new o ring. Drove the truck maybe 125 miles and developed and squeak. So i started to tear the top end apart. I noticed the LS7 lifters were flaking along with the cam having grooves in it. I decided its getting rebuilt.

Started with a basic rebuild and decided on coated cam bearings new main and rod bearings.

Part list for the motor was simple.
Arp main studs
Arp rod bolts
Oem L92 head gaskets
Reuse my arp cam, cam plate, crank, head bolts.
Replaced every gasket
Decide to bump the compression up a little more
Morel Link Bar lifters
Upgraded timing chain
Trunion upgrade
Brian Tooley dual springs
Tick Performance spec'd cam

The build was suppose to stop there but i got crazy. I then ordered a yank pro truck triple disc 3600, a sfi flex plate. Then i decided screw it and ordered a custom 2 peice driveshaft from driveshaft specialist. Hands down an awsome company to deal with. I ordered it late monday and it was at my door thursday. i also decided to upgrade to 42# injectors too.
Then i decided to try the pacesetter 1 7/8" headers this time. I will be installing ball flanges from summit vs band clamps or v bands.

My goal is a 12.5 @108+ full weight on drag radials so we'll see how it goes once its up and running.

I've noticed you havent been around as much
that sucks to hear about the current engine going down like that!
sounds like its gonna be a great truck again once your done though!
how much are you planning to up the compression? doing that by milling the heads?
whats the new cam specs gonna be?

Ill figure out where to put my coils when i get the motor back in.

I also decided to add an -8 oil cooler setup to a tru-cool 20500 cooler. Along with a -4 steam vent setup to add a little cleaner look.

DSS does a great job. I was surprised by how well it was packaged for shipping. The only other company I've seen do that is circle d
