Default Lifter Collapse Stories, anybody else got one?

So, Im driving to work friday morning in the interstate doing about 70, when my truck goes to missing BAD! I drive it straight to the nearest GMC dealership, and about 4pm they tell me the lifter on number 4 cylinder has collapsed. My truck only has 21k miles on it! I guess Im not too upset about what happened. Im more upset that Im probably going to have some fat hungover tech wrenching on my baby, when honestly, I would rather GM not warranty it, and me and Skipperdaddy do the work ourselves under his carport, lol. I guess I just needed to vent about how disgusted I am with the design of these new lifters, considering the service advisor said I am the 4th or 5th one in for the same thing in the last year. This happen to anyone else on here?

If it were me I would just throw in a cam and some Ls7 lifters and never worry again.

not sure if it hurt the cam yet or not. even if it did, i doubt they will tell me anyways. and yes, it could have been worse. in a perfect world, the dealership would be doing my cam swap for me right now and covering it under warranty! lol

Sorry to hear 'bout your bad luck there, carbon!

Damn I'm glad my 6.2 doesn't have AFM / DOD!
