Default DONOR VIN for 2008 gmc sierra crewcab sle with power folding mirrors

Morning fellas,

I recently completed the power folding mirror upgrade in my 2008 Sierra Crewcab. I went to the dealer to have the BCM and door modules flashed and everything worked with the mirrors. I am running into a problem with the door locks and the dealer thinks that it is due to the Donor VIN # used is from a Sierra Extended Cab and not a Crew Cab. If anyone own a 2008 Crewcab that was purchased with the DL3 power folding mirror option and would like to help me out, please PM me your VIN so that I can verify if this is the cause of my problem or not. Willing to pay if necessary.

Thanks,
Gip

What are the door locks doing? Did you get the windows wired correctly to the BCM? Did you replace the OE BCM with the uplevel BCM. If the BCM was not changed to the uplevel BCM then that is where your problem lies.

I got everything working now but the rear windows. The first dealer told me that he flashed the BCM, DDM, and PDM but it looks like he couldn't get the BCM to accept the flash. Because after going to another dealer where the Tech guy is a little more knowledgable, he was able to get the BCM to flash and everything worked except the rear windows. The Tech II shows that the signal was being sent from the door module to the BCM for up and down operation. So I figured it had to be that I needed the uplevel BCM, but when I got home something told me to go over the wiring again to make sure that I didn't have something crossed and sure enough I did.

My question to you is, do you think that I need the uplevel BCM or do I just need to have the current BCM reflashed again since I now know that the wiring for the rear windows are proper because they were checked with a multimeter to ensure proper connectivity, or did the could the faulty wiring have killed the BCM and I need a new one.

Could you explain what an uplevel BCM is and where I can purchase one. Or maybe even the part # because that one is no longer valid.
