Default Brake lines

Wanting to replace brake lines on my truck but can't find a kit for my specific truck. I have a 02 gmc Sierra 2500hd ext cab short bed 4wd. Found it for long beds, crew cabs, rwd but not my exact setup but found it for 2500. Are 2500 and 2500hd Brake lines the same?

are you looking at the dorman kits? I just put one on a customer's truck, and with all the hassel that was involved, it's easier to just make them and bend them from scratch

i bought a kit from the chevy dealer. with my discount it was $76 out the door. Kit contained 5 prebent steel lines, that were also plastic coated. It took me 2.5 hours to remove all the old lines, and install all the new ones using jack stands, and no lift. I also replaced all 4 rotors, all pads, calipers, brackets, and installed braided stainless steel brake hoses. The whole job took me 5 hours to complete, and was well worth it.

The chevy dealer has kits listed by vin, and mine was an exact fit, with no issues what so ever. regular price before a commercial discount is around $100

I just recently did mine for an 03 extended cab long bed, they are usually sorted by wheelbase, but I know that Rockauto has all of the different options listed as possible replacements. GM Parts Direct also allows you to put your model info and I think even vin which can get you a part number for the GM replacement coated lines. Also make sure that the lines are for the 9,900 lb brakes which is what the 2500hd has (rpo code JH6 I believe) and might be different from just a 2500, as well as the HVY rpo code for a 2in body lift. Personally I went with the coated AC Delco lines from GM and while they were good quality, there were multiple bends that had to be straightened out (due to the box they are packaged in) but there are stickers that tell you where to straighten, other than that the hardest part was doing the front right line because it is all one piece. I did only pay about 40-50 from Amazon for these lines, so even though it took a little extra time it was worth it. This might be your set here, but double check it

Classic Tube sells a full Stainless kit pre-bent with braided lines, expensive but it is a nice kit. Used it in my duramax back when I had it

I've had terrible trouble buying non-oem items from RockAuto like oil cooler lines, tranny lines and hoses. I got a non GM dip stick from RockAuto once and the mounting tab separated from the tube before I could even bolt it down on the block.

I've installed two sets of Dorman Stainless brake line kits from Rockauto. They're nice, I'd recommend them.

Dorman is usually OK. Better than most.
