Also note I am in an 2WD ECSB which according to GM is only around 100 lbs less curb weight than a CCSB.

Last time I checked curb weights.

2WD ECSB curb weight was 5075.

4WD ECSB curb weight was 5388.

2WD CCSB curb weight was 5176.

4WD CCSB curb weight was 5427.

Not quite that bad, but I do make sure I have a little less than a 1/4 tank when I pull into the track.

Also, I saved some weight by changing my 20" wheels and tires out to 18s.

I did have over 600 lbs of weight reduction done, but now it's right around 400ish.

My truck weighs right at 4700 and I weigh 275 so my race weight is around 4975.

I ran the times posted below at this weight and with the following mods.

Nelson Tune, Volant CAI, Magnaflow Muffler, Deleted CATS.

As far as weight reduction here is what is removed from my truck.

Spare Tire
Storage Bin
Trailer Hitch
Jack & Tools
Spare Tire Winch
Factory Lift Blocks
Tow Hooks
Stock Muffler
3rd Cat & Flexpipe
Front Cats
Rear Seats
Rear Seats Belts

I did have all back plastics removed, tail gate, and center console for the SAR event but I had already put those item back on and they add up to around 125 lbs.
Wow i hope my truck runs around that time. My tune is strong but again only partial. No TCM yet but feels like it could pull down a house. I wanted to remove my rear blocks. Did u torque them back to any specs when u reinstalled the u bolts?

You know on a lot of things I pay close attention to torque specs and I am sure that there are many who will say I should on the u bolts for the rear end.

To be honest, I have never torqued them on any of my trucks and I have had plenty and most of them have been lowered and or lifted and some of them have even been lowered and lifted and lowered again.

I usually just tighten them as tight as my 3/5" air ratchet (not impact) will tighten and then I finish snugging them up by hand with a 1/2" ratchet, switching back and forth from front to back and side to side to try and tighten them evenly.

I'm not recommending to anyone that this is the way they should do it, I'm just answering the question truthfully.

I'm sure some of the GM Tech guys on here can post the torque recommendations if you need them.

Same way I do it. Rear end still hasn't fallen off of the 20 or so trucks I have torqued down.

If I money dropping out my ying yang and was faced with a supercharger choice; I think I'd be really torn between the TVS 2300 and TVS 2500. To my understanding I'd prolly go with the TVS 2300 as the LS9 has the 2500 but a hevy truck needs a bit more in the basement...............

Thanks for the info, Coban. But really- unless I win the lottery I really won't be doin' a super charger. But it is nice to dream, like watching Knight Rider in High School................

I'm in the same boat: I want the extra grunt but I don't know about dropping the coin and going all in with a blower. If I decide to go supercharged, I think the only Eaton blowers I would consider would be a take-off TVS1900 from a CTS-V or the LS9 TVS2300 kit from GMPP. I don't want to get a MagnaCharger because I don't feel like having a jackshaft. A Kenne Bell or a Whipple might get a look as well. We'll see: maybe a beefier camshaft will find its way into the block my only goal right now is to apply a couple of nice bolt-ons and a tune.
