That's what mine went up: an inch taller and inch wider tire size. I figure she should sit right around 15 flat as is. It's all theory and what-if at this point, but I plan to start off with intake, exhaust, and a tune. Maybe just a tune for now to get things moving and maybe give me back some mpgs.

I seriously doubt youre at a 15 flat since a 2wd ecsb runs 14.4ish stock and youre a cc, 4wd and have a lot heavier rolling stock. Id do headers and a tune with a drop-in filter and see where youre at, then if you want more strap a blower on.

I like the idea of putting a blower on top, but it just seems like such overkill in my head: put a supercharger on top of a 400-hp engine to drop a second and a half? I know it makes sense, but we'll see how far an intake, tune, and headers will take my 6.2. That way I'll have a solid platform for a blower if I go that route.

CCSB Denali AWD have been clocked at about 14.8 on 20s IIRC. And the Escalade on 22s with 3.42 rear gears clocked at 15.2 when they first came out. You don't think I'd get an Escalade? I would think the 500-pound weight savings and steeper gears would overrule the taller tires.

Going from stock to 35s cost 100rwhp dyno proven so you have to remember youre already down about 50rwhp compared to a stock wheel/tire rig. It takes a lot of extra grunt when youre heavy and running big tires. While a blower may seem like a lot, youre also asking a lot out of your truck too given the circumstances. I think you can hit a high 13 in really good air with all the usual boltons especially if you can find someone who knows what their doing with the VVT tables.

My truck has 3.73 gears and when I lost that time with the tire change, I was running a 3000 stall converter so I was already bypassing the really bad part about having big tires and I had full exhaust, intake and tune. Granted I was running a 60e but the converter makes up for a lot of the short coming. Where youre going to have a problem is the dismal 60ft time youre going to have with a stock converter and tall tires. I bet youd do well to manage a 2.3 60.

Got it. That makes sense. I'll be investigating the mods more thoroughly closer to summer, but I definitely want to have a little more of a menacing truck out of the hole. I want to be a threat to more than the Rams, Titans, and Tundras running around all over the place here.

headers and a vvt tune only slightly helped mine.Still no brute buttom end improved mid range. My marked off area I may have picked up 1-2 MPH. after those 2 mods.

Here we go, a bit more apples to apples. Was your tune custom or handheld? Did you mess with the TCM as well? No time at the strip, right? Just a noticeable increase in performance from a roll?

Maybe I should just convince the wife that I need this:

Does anybody else sell a front inlet, front drive (no jackshaft) positive displacement kit for around $6k?
