Ford marketing promo... what would you expect, lol. An actual "fair" comparison..... Just like any other joke comparo any manufacturers do. It should be ignored and just chalked up as "spam".

it was heavily skewed in favor of the ford from the very beginning, but why wouldn't it be?

The Hemi was comparable but lost due to the having less torque. Yeah, it had 3.90s, but the five-speed can't be geared as well as the six-speed in the Ford, so that's where it lost the gearing gained by the 3.90s. However, the Silverado wasn't even close to set up to compete. They equipped the Hemi as close as they could (and it performed accordingly) but they massively handicapped the Silverado. It makes me wonder if they tried it with an NHT and lost, so they went with the sure win and switched it for the 5.3/3.08 truck. They should have just gotten a 6.2/3.42 and had the guy lift the gas a bit if it was going to be too close; at least it would have looked believable and could have been called an even comparison.

I think in that test they did just a regular drag race against a Harley Davidson 6.2 and the Eco was either a draw or barely won. I would have to look but I paid little attention to it back when it was released.
Of course the Ecoboost had to slaughter the competition with no question. The Hemi was pretty accurate......

This isn't the video but this is where the harley versus Eco came from. They even show the Harley in one of the shots of this vid. A buddy at work that bought an Ecoboost last year showed it to me then.
There is always these two as well, which I posted earlier. And yes the camera is in the 6.2 truck.
Sorry I can't find the vid I want, but it was part of Ford's own promo stuff. They probably had it taken down, lol!

Yeah I think so. I would have to dig on youtube but some of that stuff is pretty funny. It's just pathetic what people try and pass off as legit, even with "video proof". Oh well.

Well, there it is: proof positive that I don't want a GM pickup with a 5.3 and 3.42 gears for pulling a 9,000 lb trailer up long steep hills ... but I already knew that.
It would have been a more interesting and "fair" comparison if they had run the F-150 3.5TT/3.73 against an F-150 6.2/3.73 AND a GM 6.2/3.73, all with the same body configuration, 2- or 4-WD, and similar equipment. But, that's probably why they didn't do it.
