anyone try on a new furd 6.2 or 3.5 TT
I would be crushed if my 6.2 got spanked by a new ford v6 with mine being tuned and longtubed, anyone know how strong they are?
A 6.2 ford in a xlt(non raptor or harley) and there best gear,i would expect could give me a run.
What do you guys know?

In my opinion, from driving my dads F150, I think their will still be so much torque management and power being held back to keep longevity, it wont be much faster than current 5.4s. Plus they are still heavier than Scotts mom.

I will say (from a Chevy guy working at a Ford dealer) that the GTDI 3.5L makes gobs of tq and the hp is there as well. They are definitely impressive little units. The 6.2's are still few and far between and mainly being seen in the raptor trucks and 3/4 ton and up versions. They do make power but as mentioned it's very electronically limited. I wouldn't cite the Ford made videos and info too much as it is very inflated but nonetheless, the trucks are a hit and just what Ford needed to freshen up their line. The 5.0 in the truck is really nothing to write home about from someone like our's standpoint, but it makes solid power as well.

Yeah....... Gm guys you will hate this but it is what it is. We had a rental unit for hauling crews at work for a couple shifts that was just a basic XLT crewcab short bed 4X4 F150 Ecoboost. A lippy co-worker has an 09 6.2 Denali pickup that is tuned (unknown tuner) and obviously the Ford is bone stock.
Four guys in the Ford truck and all their gear against the Denali with just a driver equals two lengths in favor of the Ford. Basically the Ford ate the Denali out of the hole and up to 60 mph and then they just stayed static as far as distance goes from there on. Pretty impressive for a bone stock off the lot truck. I love how they have torque out of the hole and suck you back in the seat and go. Not dither around and wait until you hit 4 grand to do anything like Hemi and the 6.2 GM do. No surprise really as the little 3.5 is setup to pull like a diesel and the others are just rev happy V8's with monstrous heads.
They unfortunately took the Ecoboost away and replaced it with an utter turd 4.8 powered crewcab 2011 GMC. I think you could get out and run and still out accelerate that thing. Oh well.
I would like to see some tuning for the Ecoboost trucks hit the market and then I think it will really shine.
As far as the 6.2 Ford I have only had experience with the F250 and F350 versions. They will beat an 07 up 6.0 liter Gm HD, but not by much. Definetely more torquey out of the hole versus the 6.0 liters. I D.D. an 09 GMC 2500HD 6.0 liter truck and the Fords are bigger ( crew cab 8' bed versus my extended cab 6'6" ) and the feedback driving wise is better in the Ford, plus the transmission shifts better.
I don't like the XLT interior in the Super Duty's, it's cheap and fugly but then my SLE is nothing to write home about either. The Ford could do a brakestand and light them from a dead stop ( childish I know) and my GMC has no hope in hell of doing that. Maybe if you tuned out some of the torque and abuse management but stock forget it. The Fords are all 3.73 geared in our fleet as well. I would love to try a 4.30 geared one out but they don't exist as an F250 on a lot anywhere in Canada when I was looking.
Ford just finally upped their game after running around with the slowest most pathetic engines for the longest time.
