6.2L- How many quarts of oil?

Default 6.2L- How many quarts of oil?

Like the title says, I have a new 6.2L Silverado and its time for its first oil change. How many quarts of oil will it take? Also, what weight do yall run?

i put 6 liters which is roughly 6.3-6.5 quarts

Six quarts of a 5W-30 that meets GM Standard GM6094M. I use Mobil 1.

Thanks guys. I have decided to try royal purple with a purelator oil filter after hours of reading. I'll let you know how it goes.

RP 5W30 w/ AC Delco filter here! 2011 ECRB 6.2 2WD.
Been using RP for 20+ years. No oil related problems.
