2010 6.2 crew feels like a turd!
Ok,I bought a new 2010 crew cab 6.2 yesterday and it feels like a damn turd! I traded in a 2008 Tundra crewmax with a intake and exhaust on it. By all means the Tundra will smoke this truck. No questions about it. I didnt have the option to drive one before I purchased it since there was no dealers in the area with one available. Can someone tell me WTF is going on. Maybe I got a lemon or something......
Truck is a 2010 Crew with 6.2 ordered it with 3.73 gears and of course its an A6.

I only have about 500 miles on it right now. Im going to give it a few more hundred miles and pound on it a while. I took TC off todat from a stop and it wouldnt even spin the tires. same motor in my vette will melt them. I dont know if these trucks have alot more TM in them but defiinatley something is wrong

first let it break in. then tune it. i thought my SS was slowest piece ever. then i got rid of the 50lb a piece wheel with no tire. long tubes and a tune and now its doable for a daily
your tundra felt fast cause the throttle was always stuck and it got lighter everyday from the frame falling apart haha jk.

Look into removing the d.o.d. and vvt if it has it. Look up GM V.V.T. Delete Kit,
& D.O.D. Delete Kit
D.O.D. Delete Kit Includes:
-GM LS7 Lifters
-GM Valley Cover
-GM Lifter Trays
-GM Head Bolts
Cam & tune it.
Both kits will run you about $500 total and with a tune xhaust and cam you'll have a monster.

go look in the 2010 6.2 1/4 mile time by Mark his went 14.2 with a CAI/Exhaust/mild tune.
the truck is 5500+ its heavier than a vette first off. its got a different intake, different valves, bigger cam than the L92 6.2
throw LTs/ OR y/exhaust/CAI/Tune an youll have a hell of a truck. GM tunes these trucks down SOOO much it makes you wanna blow
it up.
its a VVT 6.2 NO DOD so either get rid of the VVT when you cam it or get Pat G/Geoff Skinner to spec you a cam.
a stall will help you a lot too.
i bet your tundra wouldnt run away from my truck an i have the 5.3 with a few Mods. so get to modding that truck and youll be a lot happier.
FYI i put headers an a tune on my truck with 5300 miles an i changed to
Royal Purple at 1800 miles.
