2010 2500hd 6.0 electric cooling fan
#1
I have a 2010 2500hd id like to get rid of the mechanical fan setup and convert to an electrical setup. I want to use factory components only so it appears as factory as possible. I have found plenty of 2011+ 1500 cooling fan assemblies but I'm having a problem finding the factory harness. I know the pcm will have to be tuned when using the factory harness because I want the computer to control the fans.
Any help is appreciated

You would have to buy the oem front harness for the fan control. Then cut the fan harness out of it. Too much work imho. Unless you just made your own/bought a 3 relay harness to run them.

I bought a harness from Nelson Performance for mine. I don't think it is much if any different than the ones he sells for the earlier model trucks utilizing the ECM for triggers rather than the A/C trigger. I just told him what it was going on and he sent me one in a few days.
I did find that my '10 Suburban 2500 was mostly wired for e-fans from the factory. The fuses and relays are already there, and ECM was already pinned for the fans. I think all I'm missing is the harness from the underhood electrical box to the fans themselves. I actually have a salvage yard not too far from here and I plan on going out there and pulling the fan harness out of a '07+ Silverado or Tahoe/Suburban.
For now I just power the Nelson harness off of the trailer charge circuit stud #2 (IIRC) and had it programmed by Blackbear. They work good but I'm trying to get the temps fine tuned a little better.
