Default 07 nnbs 5.3 exhaust

I've just read the "let's talk exhaust thread." Has anyone ever put the borla xr-1 muffler on and ran a single 3" tailpipe in the stock location? What about the magnaflow installed the same? Gonna do something this week. I like the no tailpipe look but just trying to keep down cab noise. So for the final decision which muffler? And which part #? Please comment!!! Looking to order muffler Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks,Jeremy

the 12'' with the dump there is a bit more noise in the cab but not really bad imo.

xr-1, or just about any performance muffler gets very vocal when you add LT & ORY. If those are in your future, you might want to run it out back. I'm going back to a stock muffler dumped and E-cutout this week.

I have a 3" XR-1 exiting before the rear tire. Cab noise is minimal but once you get on it, it does sound like sex!!

BTW, All else is stock on my truck
