OT....what good is NASCAR on the radio? I mean, don't you need to watch NASCAR to get something out of it?

 

Sirius is the better deal IMO, I think it's 4 or 500 for lifetime where XM is 500 for 5 years or something like that. Plus I have Sirius stock

 

I prefer Sirius's programming and real live DJ's over XM.

 

Ok first off Sirius has already announced it will be increasing its prices very soon. Probably up $2 most likely because of Stern. I am actually saving $2 with XM's new pricing. I was paying the regular service,online service,and for the Opie and Anthony Show! Now with the price increase you get the following-the regular XM service like you have always getting but now included in the price is the online service,and the Opie and Anthony Show. I garuntee you once you hear the O&A show you wont care about the price! I love those guys! The online service is great! it has 2 channels that you cant get in your car and you can use it at any cpu anywhere! So dont just get rid of your XM stuff because Sirius is going up as well!

 

What do you mean real live DJ's? XM has "DJ's" they dont speak much is the reason why they are so much better than FM Radio. You dont have to listen to the overaged hip wannabe losers speaking in some fake *** voice!

 

On another note its going up a couple of bucks! I would pay more than I pay know for XM because I hate FM radio it pisses me off and gets me in a bad mood! The reason for Nascar channels is for the people that arent at home on Sunday because they are on a road trip or they are at work and cant watch Tv at work. It also has nascar talk shows and covers the practice events,and etc... I will probably never listen to it but it makes sense to me. Like I said Im saving money and just the fdact that they are adding the online service as standard is really cool! If you dont have the Boombox and your at work you can listen to your favorite music or shows!

 

They are also in the process of redoing the FM broadcast system, They want to convert it into what is called HD radio. I believe high definition. But it is broadcast gaints like clear channel communications way of not letting XM and Sirus taking over. I know that this system is digital, so that is one advantage, clearer channels. And I would think that one would be able to get some radio gaints like power 106 from LA or something like that. I am just assuming this. I am not to sure.

FM sucks. They gotta do what they can to win back what customers they "did" have. One of them wont be me.

 

HD radio has been around for a very long time! It has some big backers now but will not compare to what Satelite radio will be especially XM! A huge piece of evidence GM and Ford. They arent just putting these in the very very top of the line rides! That station out in LA is on XM like half of the day on one of the stations. Ask anyone in the broadcast business about what satelite radio(not HD radio) will become and how it is going to put a big hurt on FM and already ahs done some damage to it!
