Default XM Rates goin up!

Well for those of you who dont know XM is going to bee going up from 9.99 to 12.95.

Anybody know if you can use the same equipment for Sirrus?

I was only keeping Xm b/c it was cheaper.

Depends on the equipment you have. Some tuners have both. It doesn't suprise me that it's going up. The more people that get it, the higher the price will go it seems.

No it's not interchangable.

Sirius will go up also to remain competative once they have near the same amount of customers. I bet they will be within $2 of eachother by the end of their major growth spurts.

I have XM and will not keep it. Sirius is making huge gains, and getting a lot of OE's. I thought sirius used to be 7.95 a while back? With the 6 disc in-dash I rarely find myself even using the XM. The price increase sealed the deal.

My XM is paid till 2006. After that I won't subscribe. 12.95 a month for Radio
is nuts. I hear a clone is pretty easy to do.

I put at least $75/week or more into my tank which works out to ~$300/month for gas. So, $13 doesn't seem like a lot in comparison for commercial-free music.
