Baby steps. I wanted to be in the 13's by this summer. and I did. I want to be in the 12's by the end of next summer still with the 4.8

Maybe I'll break into the 14's before the year is out...

[QUOTE=F8L Z71]The 454SS was run from essentially 90-93. It had a standard issue 454 big block out of the RV line up. Nothing really special about it. Was TBI and rated at 230rwhp 385rwtq if I remember correctly. I owned a 90' model back in 93' and loved it. Wasn't the fastest thing out but with Doug Thorley headers, no cats, and a Jet chip it went 14.7 on a 2.0 60'. Pretty cool for a weak *** 454BB LOL

In 93 I believe they gave it a freeer flowing exhaust and hp went up to 260 torque was 400ish

They were about neck and neck w/ the First gen Lightnings. They're biggest prob was so much torque so it was hard to get a good launch

That would be a cool problem to have. I'd do my best to deal with it.

I'd be happy with 12's for now. My goal is 120mph in the 1/4...have NO idea when I'll get there, but it won't be any time real soon.

First of all... no good weather here yet. When most of yall up north's tracks are closed for the year, we are just getting some good air.
As for Blacksheep, yall keep your eyes peeled.. I believe he is planning on unleashing that beast at Thunder next weekend.
Lastly.. no 10's from me. I am just hoping for some lowly 11 second passes out of the 5.3.

I am shooting for 10's by January our tracs dont close but for a month I think. Unfortunately I have to sell my current truck for the next one but if all goes well with work and I can get some bills paid off I am lookingt at putting a 408 or just a built 347 in a regular cab stepside.
