Default Wheel/Tire fitment question (been searching for days)

I’ve just picked up a nice set of new 265-70-17 (stock size) Firestone Destination ATs for the truck. For dirt cheap too

My truck has the stock flares, and I would like to put some wheels on it that will get the tires out closer to the edge of the fender flares.

I understand offset/backspacing and all that.

It looks like a 17x9 wheels with 4.75 backspacing will put my wheels out within ¾” of the outside of the flare. I want this size also because there are a few styles in this size on clearance.

I did some checking, and I believe everything will clear up front, turning and through the full travel of the suspension. But it’s hard to be sure without actually having them on the truck.

So, basically, has anyone run this setup before? And is there any rubbing up front?

Thanks for your input.
I was going to put this in the offroad area, but it’s pretty quiet over there.

I beleive you can go up to a 295 with that much back spacing without having to worry about rubbing, 265s i wouldnt even concern myself at all with them

I haven't run that setup, but you can check if it will work. If you drop a string/ straight edge down from your fender flare, make sure its vertical, then measure back to your wheel hub face, you'll get the frontspace measurement. If its near 5.25", you should be good. Any less and the wheel/tire might stick out. If you can see the hub face, you won't have to take the wheel off.

Thanks guys.
I easily checked how far out they will sit.
My only concern is -wheels turned, suspension compressed, outside edge of tire contacting inner fender.
It looks to me, worst case, the tire may rub a very small amount on the flat plastic of the inner fender.
Basically zero damage.

Anyway, I just ordered the wheels.
I couldn't wait.
17x9 4.75 BS centerline turbines.
They should have about a 3 1/2" lip

Time for someone to chime in and tell me they won't fit!
