This is for all the married or basically married guys. What does your better half think of your hobby/obsession with truck performance?

My wife says its a waist of money, but let her behind the wheel of the truck or Z and she's a different person. She loves her "LS1Tech. YOU GOT BEAT BY A GIRL" t-shirt, and will try to race everyone in town.

 

Every mod and install price costs me near double. My half and most of the time her half. We even argue a little about it since she has no idea how much money we have and doesnt want to know. Her side of the supercharger and nitrous ended up being 2 plane tickets for July 4th to see her parents for the 3rd time this year. Thats whats important to her. Mine live 20 min away and I havent seen them 3 times this year. Most of the time it is fair though (lasik next month), but sometimes her requests are a little hard for me to understand *cough* plane tickets *hak*. I mean seriously that blower and nitrous should take off near 2 seconds . For the most part women have different priorities. Besides, I wouldnt be where I am if it werent for her.
Guess thats just the way it goes. She is very cool though. She always agrees to let tme get what I want even though she doesnt understand any of it.

 

my wife doesn't have a problem. she just wants to know what i am getting and how much it is. she does the bills so she wants to know so she can balance to accts.

 

I don't have a wife or a girl friend right know, but when I do get one she will like the hobby and get into it with me.

My last anniversury she bought me my first N2O kit. Not to make myself look bad, but i dont remember what i got her. For valintines day she bought my LPE cam from Getsome. I sent her an e-mail.
I think i might owe here something.hahaha

 

My wife isn't too crazy about it. She's always asking my why I didn't buy it the way I wanted it. I then proceed to inform her that 1, they don't sell them like I want it, and 2, I would rather build it myself. Oh well, as long as I don't buy too much all at once she doesn't seem to notice or care.

 

I will getting married soon and so far my fience not complained about my hobby. I hope that does not change whan I get married.

 

She may not complain, but she will show more "interest". It takes some getting used to when you are used to having the only say.

 

my wife(99 trans am) is my hobby, hahahahaahaha. she doesnt get mad when I look at other cars, or ride in them or even drive them. I do have one love in my life and that is somthing that my girlfriend will have to deal with. hahahahahahahahahaha.

Loves cruises
Likes the drag races
Like car shows - esp when we go to the Goodguys.
She thinks the burn outs are funny.
Her thinking is - why should she supress something that I am very passionate about, it is something that I love and am good at. She just joins in. Fully supportive.
I would not trade her.
