Iv herd it in my chevy too, i think it has somthing to do with your gauges moving back to they're limit.

My truck makes the same sound from the dash. I sometimes hear it when I shut the engine off but it's really noticeable on cold mornings after I start the engine. I think the noise is coming from the gauge needle servos inside the gauge cluster. I'm not 100% sure though.

A couple different noises that I think it may be:

1) AC servo motors/blend doors moving to a certain position after the vehicle is shut off

2) the guage needles that were mentioned sounds legit

3) maybe some relays/capacitors powering down?

4) Coolant moving through a rubber orifice in the heater core, but this seems to happen more while the truck is warming up.

Yes, it's the cluster. My aftermarket unit began doing it, so I sent it off to get the guage motors/ servos replaced.
Its a common problem on the 03' & up GM truck & suv clusters.
There should be a TSB bulliten on this at GM dealerships.
If your truck is still under warranty, take it back to the dealership to be fixed. If no warranty, it's really up to you on what or how you want to handle it.
You would need to either replace the cluster with a new one and have it reprogrammed to your mileage & engine hours that are on the original cluster or just deal with the noise.
Good luck!

Forgot to mention that when I placed my factory gauge cluster back in, all the marble/ chattering noises went away.
