Default What seats are ....

comfortable and safe in a 2001 silverado. Im thinking of some lightweight race seats that are comfortable since its a dd. Ive seen some pics of seats in these trucks but never have i gotten any opinions.

Thanks,
Derek

Only problem with running a racing seat is you have to find a place to attach seat belts since ours are in the seats. Just something to think about.

I really like what Corbeau has to offer as far as quality and comfort.

Default Mainly for weight

Im mainly doing it for weight. These factory seats are pretty heavy.

factory seats are not all that heavy. At least the manual ones. When I had mine out I bet they weighed less than 30#. There are alot of other places to trim weight before the seats. Like the rear bumper, hood, spare, etc. but in the end you will still be heavy. As mentioned it is a truck, I would think in some scenarios you might be sacrificing your own safety and the safety of other occupants for a few pounds. Probably won't even be noticeable on a street driven truck
