What Next??? Cam or Torque Convertor
#12
Go w/ the TT3000 first. Then are far as cam selection goes, give Richard at WCCH a call. He really knows his stuff and will guide you to the right cam based on what your goals are for the truck. Seriously before you pick a cam based on what you have read works best, give him a call. 4.8's are kind of their own animal when it comes to internal engine mods, the 212/218 might be a hair too big depending on what you want out of the truck. BTW shoot me a PM before you start gathering parts for the cam swap, I have most everything needed and it will probably be for sale soon.

converter first than cam... and cam dont go anything bigger than a 222/224 or smaller than a 220/220... for a converter, IMO go for a Quality Convertor .. I've driven cammed trucks with PIs, TCIs, Yanks, Fuddless, and the homemade QC stalls feel by far way better than any of the other stalls.. That is what I'm running, a 3400, it feels great and believe it or not, in my 1.78 60ft on my 12.8 run was with crazy traction problems. Poor 26s. lol.

I would go with the 220. IMO i would go with a larger cam than what you picked out just because i was always told. Pick the cam you want and go up one step from there. I think the 220/220 would be perfect for the 4.8.

Damnit, sometimes I hate asking questions on here, you end up going bigger than you wanted tooo.... I guess I need to rethink some things....
So the new stuff might be
QC 3200-3400 and a TR220 on 114.....
Well I have some time to think about it cause the gears get installed in 2 weeks then I have to break them in... Thanks for the suggestions gao8302 and Lablackpearl...
