I am trying to decide what to do with whats left of my Mod money. I am planning on getting engaged in a couple of months and I have enough left in my mod fund to do either a cam swap or torque convertor swap. which ever one I don't do now will get done by ~August....
BTW I don't want to do a engine swap cause I will be selling the truck in <2 years, so basically everything I am buying will be transfered to a CrewCab easily.
I have my 4.10s and TrueTrac on the way and should be installed in a few weeks. So my choices are:
1. Yank TT3000
or
2. Comp Cams 212/218 114
Thanks.
BTW how does a TT3000 do on a 4.8? I have read it will only flash stall up to ~2600-2800, is that true?

do the cam, u dont NEED a converter but what Im told it just makes the cam feel better. IMO. Im gonna have to split my cam install up between the converter and cam itself and it might take about a week or so in between before I get to the trans portion and tune

So the TC will help me more at the track, better 60ft? I know I need to do both, but I can't and I don't want to break out the CC. So will my truck run worse with a higher TC with the stock cam?

Yes, the higher stall will drop your 60' time if you can keep traction. Doing the cam first would cause you to lose a little bottom end until you had a converter which is why i'd say do the converter first.
