BTW I don't want to do a engine swap cause I will be selling the truck in <2 years, so basically everything I am buying will be transfered to a CrewCab easily.

I have my 4.10s and TrueTrac on the way and should be installed in a few weeks. So my choices are:

1. Yank TT3000

or

2. Comp Cams 212/218 114

Thanks.

BTW how does a TT3000 do on a 4.8? I have read it will only flash stall up to ~2600-2800, is that true?
thats what you need. end of story.

Putting it on a 116lsa will even further hurt his low end. He needs to stick to his original plan.

dude stick to your original plan!!!!

but all honestly unless you are going to hit the track often and buy slicks, I would really do the cam swap first, that camswap with the 4.10's are going to work real well with your needs, the converter is more launches and it will hurt your mpg, that cam you'll notice pretty cool good gains, my 5.3 z71 ran damn good on the street with that 212/218 cam,

alot of people forget to add slicks to their mod list, a converter without slicks is USELESS!!

so IMO do the the cam swap!!

With the 212/218 you won't need to worry about a torque converter.

I have all ready talked to him! He is a great guy, I bought a TC and tranny from him ~10 years ago for my mustang. I never had one problem out of the combo he sold me and I punished that car daily. I have only heard of the TBSS and SSR guys using his TC and those have a lot mor torque than my little 4.8 so I am wondering what it would do.... He quoted me $429 and he said it should flash ~3200 but maintain stock driviability... I am about a month away from the decision, my gears should be broken in by then...

x2.

212/218 cam doesnt require a TC to get its full potential... 220/220 and up does require a converter...
