Your significant other; that can make a difference as well but is not usually recommended

In all serious though, all that was mentioned above, running less gas in the tank, lighter wheels (as in forged aluminum vs. steel or cast wheels), and street tires or performance tires weigh less than all terrains usually.

one thing to keep in mind when searching to remove weight. most of the weight reduction comes from the rear end. which makes it lighter and thus not helping traction...

hmm i got a question , the SS bumper form chevy comes with a impact bar and the cover . is this a lighter combo then the chrome bumper with plastic cap and lower valance .

also this may sound ricer but hear me out . i was thinking if you buy a carbon fiber hood for the truck and paint it the color of your truck . right there you should lose a easy 40 pounds or more right ? then lose the sprung loaded hinges for aluminum ones or something and just use a pole to hold it up or something .

buying carbon fiber is not ricey. as long as you paint it to match the rest of the truck. it's pricey though.

i don't think fiberglass is much lighter than steel. also, you will probably find a lot of bodyshops will not work on it. when i had my appointment with my body man he told me flat out no glass hoods. i started checking around and no body shop in my area will deal with one. now, if you have a vette in there then yea, big money repairs and they'll do it.
