Default Pewter took a fall (updated a few pics)

Lost control of my truck today on a wet road and fell into a 7ft ditch, thank god there was no water in it. The truck is completely thrashed and luckily I came out only with my arm hurt. Both fenders are dented, my whole bottom section of my bumper is crushed and ripped off, my front end is completely crushed.
I went front end 1st into the ditch, hit the side of the ditch then bounced to the other side. Kinda weird the truck was almost on its side. Even the plate around my radio flew out the truck into the street along with a plastic piece from inside the cab. Guess we'll just have to see what the insurance says about it. The cop was being a total ***** telling me to take my hands out of my pockets, looking in my truck, and even gave me **** about if i was wearing my contacts for not (which I was) Even though the truck is thrashed, I can sit here with a smile on my face because nothing happened to me, and if you saw the size of that ditch you'd probably be to. I have to just thank God for protecting me on this one.

Here is the part of the ditch that I made the 1st impact before i slid further down into it. You only see the ditch from street level, but theres about another 4-5ft down into the bottom of it:

Damn man that sucks but, at least you're not hurt.

hopefully the truck will be out by then, but maybe not.
I'm takin it to a shop of a family friend, so maybe I can have them go ahead and paint the pieces I was going to have painted and get me a bottom airdam with the foglights!! Gotta try to pull some positives out of a negative situation!

At least you're ok, that's what really matters. Sorry to hear about your truck though.

same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, but i hit a bobwire fence. truck got some major scratches, plus other items damaged. my only positive was a new paintjob.

i guess we live and learn. at least that is what i got out of it.
