Default Weight Question

Can someone please tell me which front end weighs the least?

99-02 Chevy
99-02 GMC
03-Present Chevy
03-Present GMC

I am about to buy a '01 Chevy with a smashed up front clip that will have to be replaced. I have no preferance as to what one of the 4 front clips looks better. I am only asking what one is the lightest. Thanks.

Everything kept the same, I don't see why there would a difference among those mentioned.

There should be a slight diference in the 4 mentioned... Just looking at them they look very different so that is why I asked. I didn't ask about the Caddy clip because just figured it would be heavier than the other 4, same as the Denali, but if they aren't then I guess add those into the mix too.

I think the SS has a plastic front bumper. All the others have a steel front bumper.

It may be plastic covered though, you might should check on that.

The hoos will have to be changed to go with a 03 Chevy or a GMC. I'm not sure abou tthe fenders.

I already know that i will need a whole new front clip. So changing the hood and fenders isn't going to be an issue. I might jsut go with a 01' Chevy or GMC front clip just because I have a lead getting one or the other fairly cheap and they are in great condition.

Yeah the SS still has the same metal bumper behind the plastic fascia.

i think the weight difference is going to be negligable, what 4 pounds on a 4k lbs truck, really doubt you are going to feel that. Just get what you like.

I was just wondering because if one was like (jsut picking a number off the top of my head) 25 pounds lighter then I would get that one. But yes if it is negligable then I will just get the one I like.
