Default Transmission drain bolt?

Hey guys I have rounded the bolt off bad and it is stuck as hell and isn't coming out. I picked up a replacement #24213991 for $5. A couple weeks ago on FSC there were 3 other people who had the same problem, but they had to buy the whole pan, so I guess I got lucky. Has anyone here had trouble getting the bolt out? How should I remove it? I have a dremel and a drill, but I am not sure how to approach this without risking damage to the pan. Thanks for the advise.

go to home depot or any other hardware store and get an easy out, then drill in the middle of the screw and tighten the easyout into the bolt and back it right out.

Hey thanks for the posts. I don't have a torch but that's a good idea. I will look for some easy out tomorrow.

My uncle is the tranny guy at my dealership and he said that it's a pretty common problem. He was surprised to see that mine actually came out without damaging the bolt.

I figured it was common. I asked the guy at the dealer if they ever had trouble getting them out for the first time and he said no. They must install these with a damn impact wrench.

i think that is an aluminum bolt or something, it is really soft, i messed mineup prety good and ended up useing the next size smaller socket(6sided) and beat it on there and it finialy came out, i would try and get something like that beat on there and use some heat, a little burnsomatic would probably get it done.
