Topped my tank off too much.... help

I'm leaning on it being the gauge as well. The sending unit sends out a max and min which equals E and F. If it is something different then the gauge is most likely bad. Get a new gauge cluster. It will zero out your mileage as well.
chances are the tank is full and to much pain IMHO...bed is off in a few minutes...just my preference

Yeah if it's an 03+ the gauge is a good bet. The little motors that spin the needles were poorly designed. 99-02 it would be sending unit for sure.

Don't replace the sending unit, its cluster related.

Replace or keep it as is and bragg to a hippy that you get better milage than his prius. hah..
