4l80 swap completed in 2004 Silverado. Have no reverse. When shifted into reverse, motor free revs and fluid shoots from top vent nipple in trans. Also I still have limp mode issue o had with 4l60 of no first/no 4th. Any help appreciated.

 

The no reverse condition is an internal transmission problem it has nothing to do with your wiring or solenoids.

Haha. I now know that I have a electrical issue between pcm and trans. The good part is my old 60e is still good as I'm having the same limp mode issue with the 80, now with the reverse problem. Hopefully we will have it all locked down this weekend.if anyone has had the "no reverse" in their 80, please share your experience

 

Did you ever find out what it could have been? Im currently having the same issue with my trans swap everything works except reverse.

 

Need to measure the reverse pin length for propper band engagement.
