It seems like people in the other sections are a little less eager to help with truck related issues. I am new to this whole LSx engine stuff, so I dont pretend to know a lot about it, I just ask questions. But, there is a lot of stuff that I am very familiar with that I have worked on many times, even for a living. I have worked in Automotive since I was 16, just because I started posting here yesterday doesnt mean I was born yesterday. In the other sections it seems like you are more likely to get called a "noob" or treated like you dont know anything based on your post count. It almost seems like there is somebody who will argue any and every point just to argue.
There are a lot of very helpful and informed people on this forum(including all the other sections), it just seems like there is more typical internet stuff going on in the other sections. Could have a lot to do with the much larger number of people that are in the other sections, dont know. All I know is that the truck section is very helpful and informative and there is a lot less arguing and flaming going on in here. So, that being said, it would be nice to have our own lounge.
Sorry if it dragged on, just trying to make a few points I guess.
I hear ya, post count doesn't mean much to me personally, I still ask noob questions to this day
I've been turning wrenches since I was 14 yrs old, rebuilt an engine (SB 327 circa 1967), rebuilt carbs (Quadrajet, Carter), replaced heads, installed Cams, tuned via needles and jets not software.....
I'm no expert by any stretch, but I've been around the block a few times, made my share of mistakes.
I just like motorsports in general and the LSx Truck is just my most recent.
