Default Is There Something Wrong With the Brake Calipers on '05 GMC Sierra 1500's?

When I changed the front brake pads I noticed they were wedged into the calipers pretty tight and difficult to remove.

When I went to install the new pads, they simply wouldnt fit. I had to grind down the tabs on the top and bottom on the brake pads. Then they slipped in easily.

I noticed the passenger side pad on the inside wore much more than the outside pad. The inside pad was the tightest fit.

I did a search on the internet '05 brakes and their are complaints about the pads sticking without any explanation.

Anyone else have this problem?

The pads wouldnt fit with the clips. After the tabs were ground they fit ok. I wonder if the calipers were machined wrong or brake pads are specd with the wrong dimensions

Do you have disks or drums on the rear brakes? Just wondering if you might have the 99-04 fronts

yeah I got drums too. Does that mean I can use 15" wheels in back for drag racing?
