Default SRT10 dyno

Just an FYI for those who havent seen these numbers:

This is from an SRT10 owner in DFW. Numbers are showing before and after gains from a ported / aftermarket throttle body. I'm suprised by the numbers.

What do you guys think?

I think that seems kinda low for a big ole 488 or whatever the heck it is BUT, we all know what that motor is capable of with a little work. I'd like that much power or maybe a little more in a Silverado SS.

Doesnt seem too bad. I dont know much about the V-10. Im not a big Mopar fan. Got quite a gain from the ported TB!! The 8.1 puts out power somewhat close to that V-10 doesnt it??

From the looks of it .. it looks like it lost power from the TB. The first run (going by the time stamp) was higher than the second one. I would assume that he got a base run and then put the new TB on rather than putting the old one on after the install to get a baseline.

That's pretty impressive none the less though. Looks like there is another contender ou thtere.

If I remember the post correctly, the TB was a prototype or something that he was just testing out. The guy may have removed it after he dynoed, then ran again for stock numbers.

At Dodges 505 hp rating, thats only a 14% drivetrain loss. Much better than their 25% loss on the Hemi auto trucks.

The SRT10 only comes with a manual trans right? That seems like a normal loss through a manual.

lol, hemi trucks dont loose 25% through their drivetran. they are just over rated. the viper motors are bad *** and make ALL of that 505 hp.

That was my point.

Yep John, only a Manual. I think it looks reasonable.

I think the first SRT-10 I race will be real dissappointed when a Chevy SUV kicks his a$$.With a manual trans he'd better really be on his game.
