Slotted rotors ?s.
#2
I can't see why any damage would be done by installing slotted rotors. I wouldn't send stock rotors to be slotted though. From all I have seen most believe the slots to be worth very little. If anything maybe even loosing a little stopping power due to less surface area for the pads to use.
What kind of damage are you talking about?

I'm not really for sure what your question is my freind...
Upgrading to a slotted rotor won't hinder you but it won't help...it just de-crystalizes the pad....you need slotted and cross drilled rotors.

the slots let the gases escape. gives a better pad to rotter contact. the holes are for cooling the rotters. at least thats the way I understand it. They look cool, but unless you do a lot heavy breaking there will not be much benefit to having them.

Boyz, the slotted cross drilled rotors are a definate upgrade from the stock GM rotors because they do alot more than look cool. The resist warping, and that's the major problem with the GM and aftermarket replacement rotors. Here at my new shop....we got a bin with about 200 defective rotors in it! That's GM's most major problem other than the Steering Shafts.
