Default planning stages of my next setup

This weekend was the final passes for the ext cab, she's getting retired, and put back stock for the ole lady to drive. She wants a bigger truck, I want a smaller one so Ill be getting her 01 GMC RCSS 4.3/auto 2WD, its bone stock untouched and unmolested.

Plans are as of now to do a simple stout Heads/big cam/intake 6L with a well built 60E, good 3800-4200 multi disk converter, and a Tru-Trac and probably 4.30 gears with a ladder bar setup. Looking for 12.0s on motor and then we'll see where the bottle will take me.

Thoughts? Would you do it another way? I'm probably done with f/i... It'll be an all motor build and then a shot once my all motor goal is met.

after seeing what skeet did on motor, his truck is what really motivated me to go all motor

I've been wanting to do this for a while but keeping and driving his truck for the last week really made up my mind for me. That thing's a beast.

It'll be with big heads, big cam, big headers, big stall etc... I really don't mind driving this type of truck day in and day out. I'm not building a truck to drive like stock LOL...

Specs for what exactly? Ill be talking to Pete Incaudo about the heads/cam package next week. The intake manifold will be decided on later but it'll be 90mm or bigger for sure been eyeing the FAST 92 for some time. Looking for a cam in the mid-upper 230's

Planning on it, if it gets forged anything it'll just be pistons. Factory LS bottom ends in general have impressed the hell out of me over the years, no reason to fix what isn't broke.
