Don't want to beat a dead horse, but I figured I'd start a new thread on an old subject to see what the flavor of the week is for oil filters. I ran out of my AC Delco PF-59's and have to choose which filter to run next time around. I've considered the AC Delco UPF filters (not sure if it's 44 or 46), but also read of guys liking the K&N 2006 or the Mobil1 206 filter, as well as the Napa Gold which is a Wix filter. I really like the looks of the Amsoil filter, but it's pretty expensive, although I could buy a bunch of them online. I plan to start using Amsoil in the engine FWIW.
(Both the K&N and Mobil1 filters are readily available at the AutoZone a few miles from my apartment).
So whatcha's like and why?

I have always run the AC Delco until I lost my supply, then I ran NAPA Gold, but someone that had sold their truck gave me a K&N 2006 they had in their garage left over and I tried it, it seemed to me that the oil looked cleaner and not as black. It could have been a fluke or just me going crazy, but either way that was my experience. I now run NAPA Gold b/c they are cheaper, yet protect more than adequate.
