I suppose the difference you see/feel is much greater in the 15-16 second range. I was in the low 13's when I did the first swap from 3.73's to 4.10's. I gained nothing e.t. wise and the mph was barely affected. Now that I'm running low 12's, I'm considering going back to 3.73's ( or 3.42's) just for the sake of trying to hook and 60' better. I'm hoping to pick up some mph as well ( went 113.84 mph) and not go through the traps at 6500rpm.

Mods 1-4 will take about a month as different mechanics are doing the installs.

My question is; Do I run the risk of doing damage by driving my truck until I have the new pcm installed? I know my truck is not going to run smooth. I plan to have the pcm shipped, so I will have it in hand before the cam and spring swap, however, there will be some time between 1st mod listed and the new pcm is installed.

Thanks
You want your trans settings (pressures) to be stock any way with the shift kit.

Yeh, it won't be the greatest running thing down low with a converter and no tune...what size TC? 2500 or less converter shouldn't be that bad to drive.

Gears, speedo will be off and ABS might come on, not always though.

You will need a tune to drive a cam of any significance....especially to match a few tunable things to your converter.

You'll be fine.

BTW...I went 3.73 to 4.10's. Definitely a seat of pants difference to me. But I'd imagine 2wd guys might rethink things when they are experiencing what badz is talking about...that trap rpm of 6500 isn't good i guess. lol.
