Default new found respect/diesel trucks

I was racing on a 1/8th mi. track on Sep. 6th and there were two Dodge diesel trucks racing out there. I was running 8.1ss and the trucks were running 8.0s. Alls I can say is HOLY **** they were fast. Were talking low 12s in the 1/4 mi. Luckily I didn't have to race them.

But remember to put their power into context. they craming around 26+ boost or more psi more so on dodges. Remember to think if you had 26+psi boost. Bye, diesel. but still is cool to see.

I thought they ran alot more than that, like 40psi or more.

Still pretty damn awesome.

Trying running a gm gas engine thats built for 26 psi boost like a duramax. That what I meant. Remember they have alreay paid for the built bottem end that included in purchase price of truck.
Spent some time over at the dieselplace.com, stock dmax charger is max about 30+psi. dodge run 40+psi with twins but have to o-ring the head soon after going above stock hp level. but once thats done skys the limit. Just watch a vids of a Dmax with way bigger than stock charger pulling, VERY COOL , like watching super stock tractors at a tractor pull.

Try buying a diesel truck under $23k that aint gonna happen. Plus also put thier power into context also. thier pushing anyhwere for 600hp to 800hp. and 1000++ftlbs just think what a camaro would do with that kinda of power or a RCSB truck.

I think you're right. Seems like I've heard of 75 psi on somebody's diesel setup somewhere.

Yeah, It's kinda apples to oranges. I'm just kinda jealous at how easy it is to add power to a diesel. Those guys don't have to worry about detonation or air/fuel ratio. They just turn up the boost and fuel, and start stacking on power adders until the heads lift.
