Default New Addition : 2004 Duramax LLY w/ Allison

My pops went and picked up his 2004 Duramax White 4-Door Reg. Cab with Allison Tranny and LLY engine option. Its also 4WD and XM Radio w/ Leather, 3.73 gears and a few other things. Now its time to start the mods, he said he wanted to do the edge w/ juice, does anyone know if it is available for the LLY engine yet, or does it make a diff. He also wants a intake. I told him that he should put in a TC and shift kit to get the full advantages from the programmer and he said he would think about it. I also noticed that the LLY engine option has a catalytic converter (that might have to go bye bye ) I hope to make this thing scoot

I have some pictures but they are too big to attach (300-400 KB), does anyone know how to fix that?

I bought my brother a Christmas present by cutting off his muffler and have a piece of stainless straight-pipe welded in with his '03 Duramax. It sounds badass under throttle and near stock quiet when cruising. I love it and it only cost $50.

I think your dad will be very happy with the Duramax. I heard the LLY is going to need its own version of the juice, but I would imagine it won't be long before stuff is available. I have the kennedy 4 inch exhaust for my truck and I really like it.

Yeah, I was thinking that the programming would take a little longer to come out. I would love for it to get exhaust but I dont know if his old ears could take it I think that the VV turbo is a little louder than the regular turbos from my experiance, I love that sound though

I didn't want a loud exhaust for my truck, either. I already have one loud as hell car, so I wanted something tame sounding for the truck. The kennedy exhaust has nice sound outside the truck but remains nice and quiet in the cab.

The edge juice with attitude monitor is available for the Duramax LLY engine. You can see it at www.fast-diesel.com
