I used to have a 2000 Grand Am with the 2.4, and it was quick as hell. There is actually a larger aftermarket for the 2.2-2.4 than the GT. Everything from cams, forged bottom ends, SCers, and alot more. I used to visit one forum for them and Sunfires. Ill try to find it and post a link.

I see nothing for them as far as programming. I guess I will have to wait for HPtuners to get that part out then try their stuff out.

Still looking for a good forum. I found grandamgt.com, but they seemed more apperance oriented than performance. The fastest one they had listed there was a 14.6

I met a guy once with a 4-door Alero full loaded with a 3.1 v6 run a 13.8 with only a Compucar dry kit. His car was 100% stock, even the air filter. Only that 75 shot.

That GT has some potential.

It looks like we won't be getting it so far. Insurance is outrageous on the GT. If it weren't a GT, but just the v6 there is a significant decrease in the premiums.

I called my insurance company to see about adding the car in my name and her as a driver, thy quoted me 1200 bucks. If we were to be married, it would only make the policy go up 200. Mine would go down of course and the GrandAm would be significantly less.

Insruance companies are the biggest damn rip off!

Amen brotha! When i traded in my 2.4 Grand Am for the Blazer my 6 month went down $150. My insurance company doesnt go by GT, vette, truck, or anything like that. They only look at crash test ratings, and value of the vehicle. Sweet deal for me.hehehe.
