ive had some weird experiences with non running engines after a tune. might be a good idea to start with a fresh file that is known to work.

with my manual conversion i was able to get the truck to start on an auto tune and the NSS still hooked up. i was able to get it to start with a clutch switch only after the segment swap. i did have to disable abuse management to get it to rev over 2000.

the first tune i got sent for my 5.3 swap (in my stock 5-speed) did this same thing: turned but wouldn't fire (verified with a probe on the coils). he swore up & down the tune was fine until i put the PCM in a friend's truck & it did the same. when i sent it back, he claimed all he did was reflash it. it worked fine the second time around.

TexasTechX1 did you use the rear load setup on the T56 as found on the F-bodies or did you move the shifter to the front load application for your swap? I have a RCSB with the 4.3/NV3500 and I want to go 5.3/T56 but want to try to keep the interior relatively unchanged. I’m just trying to see if I can keep the factory location of my original shifter. I know it doesn’t quite pertain to this thread but I appreciate any help I can get.

Look up SilverSport Transmission (Google it), they have a front shifter relocation kit, its pricey but you're only an inch or two back from the factory hole.
